Built by Inspiring Fathers and The Better Baby Daddy Club
The Next Chapter Father is a combined effort between Tyler McAdams of Inspiring Fathers and John Lakshmanan and Kelly Burgess of The Better Baby Daddy Club. The two fatherhood platforms are committed to helping men grow, rebuild, and lead with purpose.
The Better Baby Daddy Club is a podcast and community built for fathers navigating life after separation, divorce, or co-parenting challenges. We focus on helping men grow physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially so they can become stronger men, better fathers, and more intentional leaders for their children.
Kelly Scott Burgess is a 2019 PGCPS Teacher of the Year finalist, currently working as the AVID coordinator and elective teacher at Dwight D. Eisenhower MS in Prince George’s County, Maryland. He also teaches music privately, specializing in violin, viola, and cello. Kelly is also the co-host of The Better Baby Daddy Club, the founder of the Honey Done app, and the Vice President of The Bridge Program Inc.
A native Washingtonian, Kelly received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Maryland. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in TESOL Education. The twenty-five-year veteran of public education says, “Teaching is like tending plants in a garden. Place them both in good soil with regular water, light, and nutrients, and they will grow.”
In his spare time, he enjoys reading, gardening, music, exercising, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He resides in Mount Rainier, Maryland, with his wife, Pamela, and their dog and cat.
John S. Lakshmanan is an educator, published author, youth advocate, entrepreneur, and father committed to strengthening families and communities through leadership, wellness, and personal growth. A native of the greater Pittsburgh area who proudly bleeds black and gold, John holds bachelor’s degrees in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Health and Physical Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in Sports and Health Sciences from American Military University, and a leadership certification from Trinity Washington. He is currently working on a doctoral degree in public health, further expanding his commitment to education, wellness, and community impact.
John is the majority owner of Yinzer Vending LLC, the Co-Founder and CEO/President of The Bridge Program Inc., and the co-host of The Better Baby Daddy Club Podcast, where he helps fathers navigate life after separation with accountability, healing, discipline, and purpose. With more than 20 years of personal training experience, John enjoys working out, reading, and, most of all, being a dad.
Tyler McAdams is an Arizona native, father of four, founder of Inspiring Father, and creator of The H.E.R.O. Method, a framework designed to help fathers rebuild their identity, confidence, and leadership when life does not go according to plan.
After navigating divorce, co-parenting, personal setbacks, and the responsibility of rebuilding his own life as a father, Tyler turned his struggles into purpose. What could have broken him became the foundation of his mission: helping fathers stop merely surviving their circumstances and start becoming the men their children need to see, trust, and follow.
Today, Tyler leads a community of fathers focused on healing, personal growth, accountability, and stepping into the next chapter of fatherhood with strength and clarity. Through coaching, community, and real conversations, he empowers men to confront the past, rebuild from within, and show up with greater presence, discipline, and purpose.
Outside of coaching, Tyler is passionate about fitness, basketball, golf, and creating meaningful memories with his kids. As a lifelong Arizona sports fan, he understands the value of teamwork, resilience, preparation, and showing up when it matters most.
His mission is simple: help fathers stop letting their past define them and start building a life their children can look up to.
Because the greatest legacy a father leaves is not only what he provides.
It is the man his children get to follow. The next chapter starts with you.
Be the hero.
